The telecommunication systems division of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. introduced its IP5531-SDL IP telephone to the channel this week. The new phone is the latest expansion of the company’s popular IP5000-series business telephones.
The IP5531-SDL IP telephone is a nine-line IP business telephone with 20 programmable buttons, and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection with a full-duplex speakerphone. It is compatible with Toshiba’s†Strata CIX IP business communication systems.
According to Eric Abing, Toshiba’s telecommunication systems product manager, the IP5531-SDL model provides SMB customers with nine different IP5000-series telephone options. “When combined with the new IPedge†IP business telephone systems, our users have a robust yet affordable IP business communication solution,” he says.
Models range from four- to nine-line telephones, with 10 to 20 flexible buttons, and many have backlit LCD screens. Models are available with either Gigabit Ethernet or 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet connection. All models come standard with a PC interface, headset interface, and Ethernet cable.
Prices vary by model. The Toshiba IP5000-series telephones are available through Authorized Toshiba Dealers.†
