Xerox has expanded its managed print services (MPS) portfolio with the acquisition of NewField IT, a U.K.-based print consultancy and software provider. NewField IT specializes in helping companies of all sizes implement MPS more quickly with its Asset DB software suite, which creates visual maps of a floor plan to show how assets are used throughout an office.
NewField IT will operate as a wholly-owned Xerox subsidiary, and will maintain its name and keep its headquarters in Twickenham, U.K. The acquisition of the company, known for its user-friendly software, will speed up MPS implementation and accelerate the ROI on MPS for Xerox’s clients, according to Stephen Cronin, president of Global Document Outsourcing at Xerox.
