Siemens Enterprise Communications, communications provider, is now offering new deployment options for all in one, IP-based unified communications (UC) products that are designed to help SMBs simplify collaboration and mobility. Available through Siemens Enterprise Communications’ channel, OpenScape Office V3 aims to help mobile workers with voice and conferencing services, presence, mobility, social networking, and multi-channel contact center capabilities.
OpenScape Office offers three deployment models:
- OpenScape LX, the all-in-one software-based UC solution for up to 500 users, designed to run on a single server and featuring UC, IP-telephony software, multisite networking with LX and MX systems, and virtualization capabilities.
- OpenScape Office MX, an all-in-one UC platform for up to 150 users, which combines UC, IP-telephony software, PSTN connectivity, and multisite networking with MX and LX systems.
- OpenScape Office HX, traditional voice conferencing services designed for a hybrid environment, and supports the converged SMB communications platform HiPath 3000.
OpenScape Office V3 also offers an open SIP architecture to enhance user features, as well as mobility features. Presence and messaging are also federated, or interoperable, across OpenScape Office and Google through an open industry standard XMPP interface. The OpenScape LX also offers enterprise-level VoIP, conferencing, voicemail, unified messaging, presence federation, and an integrated contact center. Running on a standard Linux server, the company touts the product as simple to understand, purchase, deploy, and use.
Available through the channel, Siemens is putting a call out to SMB IT providers who are interested in UC.
“Our distributors are always looking for new VARs and we are welcome to entertaining new partners,” said Wayne Seifried, director of global solutions marketing for SMBs at Siemens. “We want to attack this market.”
