StorageCraft and Symform Pair Up to Create Business Continuity Suite
SMBs and MSPs would use the Business Continuity Suite to back up Windows systems both on-site and in the cloud.
StorageCraft Technology Corp. is partnering with cloud computing services provider Symform on a cloud backup solution for SMBs.
StorageCraft is an innovator of disk-based backup, disaster recovery, system migration, data protection, and security solutions. The company’s StorageCraft Shadow Protect technology will enable SMB users to back up data on-site, and the Symform Cooperative Storage Cloud will enable cloud-based storage.
The joint product is called the Business Continuity Suite powered by StorageCraft and Symform.
SMBs and MSPs would use the Business Continuity Suite to back up all of their Windows systems both on-site and off-site. Using ShadowProtect technology, IT administrators take regular backups of their Windows servers using ShadowProtect Server or ShadowProtect Small Business Server, and they will back up desktops and laptops using ShadowProtect Desktop. They choose an on-site destination for rapid disaster recovery in the event of a catastrophic failure, and an off-site destination via the Symform Cooperative Storage Cloud.
With the Symform Cooperative Storage Cloud, SMBs and their MSPs contribute local storage and get online storage in return. Symform handles the day-to-day management of network security and administration.

From StorageCraft’s perspective, the partnership creates a product much needed in the SMB market. “The Business Continuity Suite brings together the two best products in the BDR segment and creates a solution for complete data protection,” says Kevin Brown, Symform’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Better yet, any business can afford it.”
