SAP AG and StreamServe Inc. Team Up on Document Automation Extension
The extension, called SAP Document Presentment application by StreamServe, automates the generation of documents from multiple applications to multiple output types.
SAP AG and business communications solutions provider StreamServe Inc. have entered into a partnership whereby StreamServe’s document automation solution will now be offered as an extension from SAP.
SAP has already begun reselling StreamServe’s solution under the name “the SAP Document Presentment application by StreamServe.”
SAP Document Presentment automates the generation and personalization of documents (e.g., billing statements) and communications from multiple enterprise applications to multiple output types, including print, e-mail, fax, and mobile.
SAP Document Presentment application by StreamServe is an SAP solution extension, which is a third-party product that is branded, sold, supported, and maintained by SAP.
Kevin Ichhpurani is SAP’s senior vice president of business development and strategic alliances, global ecosystem and partner group. He says SAP Document Presentment “extends SAP’s capabilities to empower organizations to manage their customer relationships effectively.” He adds, “Our agreement with StreamServe is another step in extending our solution offerings through our customer-focused ecosystem.”
According to SAP, StreamServe’s software underwent a rigorous technical testing process to ensure that it met high levels of quality standards. “The agreement between the companies was made after StreamServe’s solution was proven to meet SAP’s strict standards and by demonstrating the ability to integrate with SAP NetWeaver as a standalone solution,” SAP states in a press release submitted to EH Publishing.
StreamServe CEO Dennis Ladd says his company has a long history of integrating products with SAP solutions. “Today we have more than 300 customers currently running SAP solutions,” he says. “This agreement makes it easier for customers to acquire, implement and support the solution, and it will dramatically increase the number of businesses worldwide that will benefit from our integrated solutions.”
