TelePacific Communications Announces Interoperability of Its SmartVoice Innovation with the Strata CIX
Toshiba America Informations Systems’ IP communications system can now tie into the SmartVoice SIP trunking innovation.
Toshiba America Informations Systems Inc. telecommunications systems division and TelePacific Communications have earned a certification of interoperability for SmartVoice and Strata CIX.
SmartVoice is TelePacific’s session-initiation protocol trunking innovation. Strata CIX is Toshiba’s IP business communications system.
“We are pleased to offer our customers the ability to implement SmartVoice with Toshiba’s Strata CIX,” says TelePacific vice president of marketing David Zahn. “TelePacific strives to provide its customers with the products, services, and partnerships they need to be successful, and this is one more example of that commitment.”
According to TelePacific, it conducted field tests with authorized Toshiba dealers SynerTel and ATS Communications as the final step in completing interoperability certification.
“The knowledge of the Toshiba dealers is a key success factor for developing best practices for installing SIP Trunks with an IP PBX,” said Zahn. “SynerTel equipped the TelePacific QA laboratory with a Toshiba CIX system and both SynerTel and ATS provided valuable feedback to TelePacific, which has been used to improve operational practices for installing the service.”
“This certification confirms that Toshiba’s Strata CIX VoIP systems and SmartVoice can work seamlessly together, providing SMBs with added confidence in their telephone service and equipment,” says Eric Abing, product manager at Toshiba.
