ATEN Launches KVM Console Extenders
Company aims new units at manufacturing SMBs in need of remote computing.
ATEN is announcing five new console extenders today. The new units–each made up of a keyboard, monitor, and mouse–join an expanded console extender lineup for manufacturing-centric organizations, construction sites, warehouse and distribution operations, brick and mortar retail locations, SMBs and SOHOs.
ATEN’s latest console extenders utilize CAT5 cabling as a means of empowering users to control a server or KVM switch from a remote location.
“In the realm of connectivity products, one of the most overlooked yet valuable tools in the arsenal of the network administrator is the console extender,” says ATEN CEO Sampson Yang. “Our R&D teams researched an array of vertical markets and realized that our expanded line of console extenders could fill a centralized management void that would offer an array of commercial and consumer uses.” †
ATEN’s full line of console extenders range in price from $200 to $700. They include:
- USB Console Extender (CE700A)–A USB-based console extender capable of extending access to a computer or USB KVM from a remote console from up to 500 feet with a CAT5 cable.
