Integrating MarkView Financial Suite 6.5 with the Kofax capture software, Kofax aims to provide a “single, consistent end-to-end processes for handling all paper and electronics invoices.”

Kofax, maker of document-driven business process automation solutions, has released a new version of the MarkView Financial Suite. It’s the first release of the suite since being acquired by Kofax.

The MarkView Financial Suite is a collection of capture-enabled financial process automation solutions. They are presented on a single platform, providing automated accounts payable procedures and other processes.
Kofax Releases First MarkView Upgrade Since Acquiring the Software

Kofax acquired the original developer of the financial suite–170Systems–in September. This release, Release 6.5, is the first since that acquisition.

Release 6.5 integrates MarkView with Kofax’s own capture software, creating a more complete financial process automation solution. The integration enables automated receipt and capture of paper and electronic documents, extraction and perfection of the data, and workflows for routing transactions through exception handling and approvals on one unified platform.

“Release 6.5 is designed to help customers realize lower costs by providing a single, consistent end-to-end process for handling all paper and electronic invoices,” explains Jim Nicol, executive vice president of products at Kofax. “This new release reflects our commitment to best leverage assets from the 170 Systems acquisition to deliver a financial process automation platform that is simple to deploy and use while reducing a customer’s total cost of ownership.”

In addition to MarkView 6.5’s integration with the Kofax capture software–which means digitizing documents for invoice recognition, knowledgebase classification and extraction, and more–the software upgrade also means it has added these benefits:

  • Kofax e-Transactions Integration–Users can now take advantage of a single platform for the processing of both paper and electronic invoices. This means that all relevant invoice data can be captured during the invoice print process, extracted, encrypted and then delivered to MarkView approval workflows for automated validation and approval.
  • Simultaneous Oracle and SAP Support–Release 6.5 supports both Oracle and SAP simultaneously. The release has also passed certification for SAP ArchiveLink integrated with SAP NetWeaver 7.00.
  • Windows 7 and IE 8 Support–The new release also adds support for Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8. This enables users to run MarkView using the latest Microsoft OS and browser platforms.
  • Expanded Language Support–MarkView 6.5 adds support for new languages. Along with French and German, the release now supports Italian, Spanish and Portuguese for both Oracle and SAP environments.
