Cabinet NG Extends Online Document Management to QuickBooks
CNG-Safe document management solution supports hosted and local installations.
Cabinet NG, provider of document management and workflow software, has announced a complete document management solution that supports filing QuickBooks documents locally or in a hosted environment.
According to Cabinet NG (CNG), adding CNG-SAFE–the company’s shared access filing environment–to QuickBooks, enables businesses to reduce paper consumption, address efficiency issues, and meet compliance requirements.
CNG-SAFE automates the flow of documents as part of its integral workflow capabilities. CNG-SAFE also supports either a local or online hosted solution preference.
CNG, one of the first Intuit Developers Network (IDN) Partner to offer integrated document management for QuickBooks, is a charter Gold member.
CNG’s president Andrew Bailey says CNG’s SAFE picks up where the document management feature of QuickBooks falls short. “Managing documents is a business need, not just a function of accounting,” he says. “CNG is pleased to announce we are now able to extend the management of documents in a hosted environment to the QuickBooks community.”
In a corporate press release, CNG states, “Companies that select CNG while using Quickbooks will enjoy the rich document management underpinnings of CNG-SAFE … It includes flexible security, workflow management, activity tracking, and scales to fit the needs of growing companies.”
The company adds, “QuickBooks 2010 starts you off with 100MB of storage, or roughly 4,000 pages of document storage. Additional storage can be applied in .1G increments. CNG’s hosted version, CNG-ONLINE, comes with 5GB of storage and can be incremented in 1GB steps.”
“It’s a matter of customer preference,” Bailey says. “Do businesses need to manage documents outside the accounting department? Are they comfortable storing documents across the Internet? Do they need a system to automate their document processes? CNG has solutions to meet all these needs.”
For QuickBooks 2010 users, CNG-SAFE provides the following features not available through Intuit:
