Plans include reaching out to the IT community to create awareness of the issue.
Juniper Networks, a provider of networking and security solutions based in Sunnyvale, Calif., has joined the Alliance for Gray Market and Counterfeit Abatement (AGMA) in the fight against IT counterfeiting, gray market fraud, and service abuse.†
By becoming an AGMA member company, Juniper joins AGMA in leading the fight against these issues by addressing, educating, and creating awareness within the IT community.†AGMA member companies partner collaboratively to gain access to best-in-class strategies, programs, and effective processes that address the growing threats of counterfeiting, gray market fraud, and service abuse.
Additionally, AGMA has strengthened its executive board by appointing Cori Hartje, senior director of Microsoft’s Genuine Software Initiative, as a new director.†
AGMA’s executive members are high-ranking executives at major technology companies such as HP, Nortel, Microsoft, Cisco, and others.
