The new offerings include a hyper-converged infrastructure appliance for hosting virtual desktops, a new mobile thin client device (pictured), an updated edition of the ThinOS operating system, and a new thin client management platform.

The new solution positions MSPs to add incremental revenue by providing economical backup support to SMBs with long-term data retention requirements, limited budgets, or low recovery time objectives.

Called Sentinel, the cloud-based system uses artificial intelligence technology to block dangerous messages in real time, and includes domain fraud prevention and end user awareness functionality as well.

New agreements with Quantela, iValu8, and Molex give resellers in the Americas access to a range of new “smart city,” retail marketing, and network-connected lighting solutions featuring Cisco networking gear.

Users now have greater visibility into and control over data migrations, as well as the ability to restore entire OneDrive for Business repositories and purchase backup licensing for OneDrive alone.

The new deployment option targets SaaS resellers who want to use ConnectWise’s cloud management system but not the rest of its managed services software suite. New billing and single sign-on capabilities for CloudConsole debuted today as well.

Though it will reach market a little later than previously planned, the end-to-end offering remains very much on its way, according to the managed service software maker’s CEO.

But NOT a merger with SolarWinds MSP, according to Michael George (pictured), who in an interview with ChannelPro this morning addressed the questions Continuum’s partners most want answered.

Announced in conjunction with the distributor’s annual Channel Link conference, the new offerings include a complete, pre-integrated cloud server environment for SMBs combining Microsoft Office 365 software with backup, storage, and VPN functionality.

The deal transfers ownership of the managed services software maker from private equity firm Summit Partners to the same investment firm that owns SolarWinds, and with it Continuum competitor SolarWinds MSP.
