Cloud-based backup and recovery innovator EVault Inc. has announced a four-hour option for its EVault Cloud Disaster Recovery Service (EVault CDR) .
EVault CDR is a cloud-based disaster recovery solution for managed services providers (MSPs). It enables MSPs to securely recover critical systems and data in the cloud within four, 24, or 48 hours (depending on the service level).
“We believe this offering takes disaster recovery to the next level,” says Terry Cunningham, EVault’s president and general manager. “We helped create the Recovery as a Service industry with our Cloud DR offerings and we are now extending our leadership with a four-hour recovery time service option.”
Indeed, the company’s enhanced Recovery as a Service (RaaS) offering, formerly known as EVault RDR (remote disaster recovery) enables SMBs and their MSPs to gain access to data in a secure, virtual hot cloud environment in the event of site outage or disaster.
The EVault CDR four-hour managed service includes an SLA-backed guarantee for recovery in four hours or less, which is particularly beneficial for businesses in regulated industries, like health care, finance, and legal services. All EVault CDR customers with four-, 24- or 48-hour service levels work with a team of EVault DR experts to guide them through the process, from implementation, DR planning, and testing to the execution of system and data recovery.
“For many, disaster recovery was out of reach, and for others, it was a burdensome task that often felt like an expensive insurance policy,” states Forrester Research Inc. in its March 2012 report, An Infrastructure And Operations Pro’s Guide to Cloud-Based Disaster Recovery Services. “Today, cloud-based disaster recovery is poised to shake up legacy approaches and offer frustrated infrastructure and operations professionals a great alternative.”
EVault CDR also provides:
- Remote Access — Access to applications in a secure, SSAE 16-compliant data center (“warm” site for 24- or 48-hour SLA, “hot site” for four-hour SLA).
- Proactive Failover Support — A zero-downtime alternative for planned maintenance, site outages, and upgrades.
The EVault CDR Service is available with four-, 24- and 48-hour SLAs and is available immediately. Pricing depends on the type and amount of servers, data, and VPN connections as well as the length of the contract.
