Business communications solutions provider Fonality has earned E-Rate certification, making it easier channel partners to work with school districts in delivering communications solutions.
The E-Rate Program is administered by the Schools and Libraries division of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). Created in 1997, the program is meant to ensure all eligible schools and libraries have access to affordable, modern telecommunications and information services. The services offered through the E-Rate Program carry a steep discount of 20 to 90 percent. â€
By being an authorized service of the E-Rate Program, Fonality stands to gain school clients. Eligible K-12 schools and libraries across the country can request funding under four categories:
- Telecommunications Services
- Internet Access
- Internal Connections
- Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections
“We value our E-Rate certification and the partnership with USAC because we share a common goal — making telecommunications accessible, efficient, and affordable for educational institutions,” says Fonality CEO David Scult. “Fonality understands the importance of effective communications within the educational field and takes pride in the opportunity to deliver innovative technology to learning environments across the nation.”
Scult adds, “The barriers of the traditional classroom are changing with the aid of advanced communications that enhance mobility and expand possibilities for learning, and we seek to be a driving force in this trend.”
Fonality has already begun helping school districts benefit from advanced VoIP and Unified Communications solutions.
