ConnectWise, developer of business management products for IT service providers, has enhanced its ConnectWise software. Developers of third-party integrations to ConnectWise can now leverage the new Managed Device API to enable the management of various devices, fully integrated with the ConnectWise platform.
The Managed Device API enables the updating of any type of configuration in ConnectWise, with a wide variety of devices such as switches, routers, printers, scanners, copiers, and VoIP phones. The management of these configurations is streamlined through ConnectWise, making it easier to support, audit, and bill from the single platform. This allows third-party integrators to leverage the API capabilities to enable greater automation for customers.
The new managed device API, introduced with the recent ConnectWise 2011.3 product update, is followed by other API updates that enhance an integrator’s ability to connect to ConnectWise. Details can be found on the ConnectWise Developer Network: http://developer.connectwise.com/
