ViewSonic Packs Pro Image into VP2770-LED Monitor

This 27-incher has a 2560-by-1440 WQHD resolution and plenty of connectivity options.

It’s hard to have a productive workday if you don’t have the right equipment. You probably don’t want to spend the day sitting in a lumpy office chair. The day could get even worse staring at a bad monitor. The newly launched ViewSonic VP2770-LED boasts a professional performance, by packing in several drool-worthy features.

First and foremost, this 27-incher is a wide super-IPS (in-plane switching) LED with a 2560-by-1440 WQHD resolution. IPS boasts images that are the closest to the real thing, with great color, contrast, and wide viewing angles. Oh, and in case you’re bad at math, that resolution means that this little monitor can crank out almost double the pixels of your average 1080p display, as well as about 1.07 billion colors.

All of those colors should be pretty bright, too, thanks to a 20,000,000:1 mega dynamic contrast ratio. Other features include 178-degree viewing angles, an environmentally friendly mercury-free backlight, an Eco-mode function for conserving energy, and a slim bezel.

Designed for all sorts of professional applications, the VP2770-LED boasts true color and total screen viewing. It also seems pretty good at sharing the love, since it’s got all sorts of connectivity options, including DisplayPort, HDMI, Dual-Link DVI, VGA, and four USB ports.

The VP2770-LED is 100mm-by-100mm VESA-compliant, so it’s easy to pair with a wall mount or monitor stand. ViewSonic is selling the VP2770-LED now, with an MSRP of $835.99.
