Intel/McAfee Announcing Partner Rev Share, Including Trials in Boxed Processors (updated)
At ISS 2014, Intel and McAfee announced a new revenue share program for channel partners in an effort to keep Intel and McAfee solutions profitable to channel partners. Further, in a video Intel just played, the company will also begin offering free trials of McAfee security solutions with boxed Intel products. How successful that will be is of question, given the reluctance to “try” security solutions, thanks to years of being shoveled trials. Still, it’s great Intel is offering channel incentives for McAfee solutions.
Intel ISS 2014 Keynote: Big Growth and Opportunity in Mobile
Intel’s Maurits Tichelman, Vice President Sales & Marketing Group, took the stage at ISS 2014 to speak directly to Intel channel partners, addressing areas for growth, concern, and roadmaps for the year ahead.
Tichelman started off the keynote on a positive note, indicating very positive increases in channel growth despite some more disappointing revenue numbers reported a few weeks ago. Clearly Intel is investing heavily in new markets, and its channel partners are clearly the benefactors.
