Email delivery and cloud-based messaging provider SMTP has launched of Ecosystem Service Platform (ESP). The new platform is designed to improve email delivery rates and provider greater visibility to SMBs.
With ESP, small businesses will be able to access detailed delivery statistics and reporting. They will also gain access to an API library for integrating the SMTP services with third-party applications.
“Over the coming months, current SMTP customers will be migrated to the new service platform in two phases,” SMTP told Channel Pro-SMB in a statement. The company says Phase I of the migration is currently underway, and it involves those accounts subscribed to dedicated service plans. “Phase II, which we forecast will begin in February 2012, will include SMTP customers with shared service plans,” the company states.
According to SMTP CEO Semyon Dukach, the Ecosystem Service Platform “answers the call for SMBs that rely on email as their business communications and marketing medium of choice and that need a proven mechanism to maintain a reliable and consistent delivery rate to the inbox.”
“SMTP.com is steadfast in its belief that an organization’s list of recipients — registered visitors or users, prospects, customers, former customers, investors, partners — is a strategic investment that must be carefully managed to optimize maximum value and protect it from abuse,” Dukach adds.
In the coming months, SMTP says it will introduce additional features that will further enhance the ESP. In its initial release, ESP will include such features as:
- Advanced Reporting & Visibility — Recipient Spam complaint statistics, for example, will be easily reviewed.
- APIs — Application developers will be able to access a full library of APIs.
- Adaptive Delivery — This will improve delivery rates.
- Flexible Account Structure — Single monthly plan will segment across multiple senders.
