Samsung Electronics America Inc., based in Ridgefield Park, N.J., has launched the Samsung Team of Empowered Partners (STEP), an enhanced channel program that provides Samsung’s partner network with resources and support designed to drive growth and improve partners’ bottom lines.
Part of a global initiative to expand support for the channel, the STEP program will be rolled out in phases to Samsung’s more than 13,000 partners in the United States starting April 7, 2014. Platinum partners will be invited to transition to the new program first as the company continues to solicit feedback from partners.
The STEP program is organized into four tiers of support and assistance based on sales volume and type of partner, which range from national solution providers to system integrators. Each tier offers a mix of benefits that include sales enablement, marketing, technical support, and training. Samsung says that with the new categorization, each partner will receive targeted and relevant benefits that match their individual business needs.
To support the STEP program, Samsung is introducing a new online portal to provide partners access to sales data, tools, and other resources. The company has also enhanced its inside and field sales teams that call on channel partners.
