Frank Abagnale, of “Catch Me If You Can” fame, was one of many speakers at the IT membership group’s conference yesterday in Long Beach, Calif., to discuss challenges and opportunities in cybersecurity.

Priced at $4 per firewall per month, the new service feeds inbound and outbound data directly from Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, SonicWall, Sophos, and WatchGuard products to RocketCyber’s SOC, where analysts look for malware, spam, and other threats.

Called the Malwarebytes Premier Partner Program, it includes a track for MSPs offering monthly pricing and a consumption-based tiering structure aligned with recurring revenue business models, according to channel exec Mike LaPeters (pictured).

The new offering, which will include one set of tiers but different tracks for VARs and MSPs, will sell and support a unified portfolio of “cyber resilience” products covering security and data protection.

The deal with Sverica Capital Management positions the UCaaS vendor, which sells exclusively through MSPs, to expand its partner base more rapidly, according to CEO Zane Conkle (pictured), who will continue to lead the firm.

A collaboratively developed connection between Datto’s remote monitoring and management system and Intel Endpoint Management Assistant lets MSPs take control of devices that are powered off or unresponsive.

The revised edition of the managed services software vendor’s sales and marketing resource augments a library of marketing templates, collateral pieces, and other items with training materials from Gary Pica, of managed services consultancy TruMethods.

The new system is designed to help MSPs implement best practices based on a widely respected—and—increasingly mandatory, standard for preventing, detecting, and responding to cyber-attacks.

Called SecureX and scheduled to enter general availability in June, the new system is designed to ease the challenges of operating multiple security products with separate administrative interfaces and little inter-platform coordination.

Both offerings are interim measures in the former CloudBerry Lab’s longer-term effort to expand beyond backup and file management into a wider set of tools for managed service providers.
