Wallmount Enclosure Addresses Limited-Space Fiber Terminations

Black Box rolls out its Z-Hinged Wallmount Fiber Enclosure, which is sealed watertight and supports up to 48 fiber splices.

SMBs with limited-space challenges have a new Z-Hinged Wallmount Fiber Enclosure in which to secure and protect fiber terminations.

At just 8 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 4.8 inches deep the enclosure from Black Box is designed to serve when full-sized enclosures won’t fit into a space or situations in which the rear of an enclosure can’t be reached. It is also ideal for making fiber-cabling transitions from outdoors to indoors in belowground entrance facilities.

The Z-design enclosure is fully sealed and can support up to 48 fiber splices. Watertight grommets can be adjusted to support fiber cabling from 8 mm up to 17 mm.

The enclosure features two compartments: a front compartment that holds fiber assemblies and a rear compartment that holds the incoming fiber and splices. The front door has a key lock for security.
