Designed to improve technician productivity and billing accuracy, the new, closer synchronizations arrive as Autotask parent Datto kicks off its annual U.S. partner event in Austin, Texas.

In conjunction with DattoCon18, the cloud distributor says it is enabling MSPs to import data and more from the IT business management platform to the Pax8 Command Console.

And not just because Continuum gains managed SIEM services its security suite needed or because CARVIR gains access to resources that will fuel the evolution of its products, but because the two companies are led by CEOs with longstanding ties.

The deal adds SIEM, endpoint, and web gateway solutions from one of youngest yet most popular security specialists in the SMB channel to Continuum’s family of security solutions.

The new feature, which can automatically open support tickets in the vendor’s PSA system, gives end users an alternative to email and phone calls for interacting with help desks about technical issues.

Expected to officially go into production late next month, version 18.1 of the vendor’s flagship PSA product employs a clean, web-friendly look and feel designed to make working in the system dramatically easier for technicians and service managers.

Equipped with deep learning technology that enables it to block never-before-seen attacks, the system adds an online option to an email security portfolio that had previously relied solely on locally deployed firewalls and appliances.

According to Vice President of Global Channels Kendra Krause (pictured), the security vendor hopes to extend already solid results in all three areas during its 2019 fiscal year.
