Technicians can now deploy Bitdefender protection on Windows, Mac, and Linux endpoints, track installation progress, and monitor update status through the Datto RMM interface.

The latest step in a long-term effort to make Managed Workplace the most security-focused product of its kind, the new integration lets technicians deploy Content Shield agents and view security-related metrics without exiting the RMM tool they use all day.

The latest edition of the vendor’s on-premises RMM platform includes new support for network topology mapping and disk encryption, plus enhanced automation and patch management capabilities.

Called My Workspace, the new portal is designed to make selling and supporting SonicWall products easier for providers of managed security services. New monthly pricing aims to make paying for those solutions via recurring revenue easier as well.

Announced by CEO Jason Magee (pictured), the blockbuster deals add BDR, security, and documentation to a lineup that already included RMM, PSA, quoting, and remote control, positioning ConnectWise to offer one of the industry’s most complete portfolios for MSPs.

New features across the portfolio are designed to simplify and secure IoT solutions from cloud to the edge, according to Azure IoT executive Sam George (pictured).

Previously available only as part of Barracuda Total Email Protection, the system is designed to help businesses identify, investigate, and remediate email-based attacks. Selling it independently lets users layer it on top of their existing email security solutions.

The new release includes patch management functionality and integrated monitoring of the vendor’s Intronis Backup solution, both of which support a larger effort aimed at making Managed Workplace the industry’s most security-centric RMM platform.

Introduced at a time of increased attacks against MSPs, the new group is designed to help makers of RMM, PSA, and other systems share insights and coordinate responses.

New functionality that gives users more options for authenticating themselves during logins, as well as the vendor’s plan to enforce use of 2FA, come as cyberthieves are increasingly targeting RMM and PSA applications.
