New version enables service providers to support vast enterprise-level deployments, protect complex infrastructures, and sophisticated workloads.

The new system combines third-party hardware with a neural network to identify trespassing drones automatically and prevent them from communicating with their controller.

Available at no extra cost, the new technology can spot hidden threats embedded in logos, QR codes, and text-based images even when they’ve been subtly altered to evade detection by signature-based vision engines.

According to CEO Serguei Beloussov (pictured), protecting edge and endpoint workloads requires safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security functionality that’s easy to consume, cost-effective, and dependable.

The sprawling new product family includes a multi-layered edge and endpoint security solution, a purpose-built data protection infrastructure system, and a set of APIs and developer tools for connecting third-party solutions and services to those systems.

The deal, which is Akamai’s first with a distributor, is the latest step in a larger effort by Tech Data to give partners broader access to cloud-native security solutions.
