Armor Launches U.K. Partner Program

The new program helps partners fulfill requirements for the EU General Data Protection Regulation and shared security responsibility when offering cloud-based services.

To help partners fulfill requirements for the General Data Protection Regulation (data protection for individuals in the European Union) and shared security responsibility when offering cloud-based services, Armor Defense Inc., with offices in Richardson, Texas, and Berkshire, England, is launching a U.K.-focused partner program.

The company offers the Armor Anywhere solution to deliver managed protection, detection, and response 24/7/365 for cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure, as well as private and hybrid clouds and on-premises infrastructure. Armor’s solutions will enable partners to address the GDPR by supporting confidentiality, integrity, availability, and resilience of processing systems and services, according to Armor.

“Armor understands the opportunities and pitfalls that lie ahead for the European partner community as the GDPR rolls out and companies such as Microsoft and Amazon expand data centers in the region,” said Steve Gooding, Armor’s EMEA partner and alliances director. “With our proven capabilities to keep sensitive data safe in the cloud through our managed security operations center (SOC), we can help partners meet their customers’ needs [with regard] to regulatory changes, as well as provide guidance for the shared responsibility security model.”

GDPR has been called the most significant change in data privacy regulation in two decades. It was designed to streamline laws across Europe, to protect citizens’ data, and oversee organizations. Heavy fines will be imposed for non-compliance. Enforcement begins May 25, 2018.

Armor’s U.K. partner program will offer tiered benefits, including deal registration and sales incentives, a dedicated partner manager and partner support team, MDF, access to the Armor partner portal and management portal, customizable marketing materials and sales collateral, online and in-person training, online events and webinars with Armor, and more.
