Quest Software Releases Latest vFoglight Version
The virtualization management, monitoring, and capacity planning application, vFoglight 6.5, now provides support for VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V as well as Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
Software company Quest Software Inc.† has released the latest iteration of its vFoglight product.
The virtualization management, monitoring, and capacity planning application, vFoglight 6.5, now extends hypervisor support for both VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V. In addition, it adds application infrastructure management for Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
vFoglight 6.5 provides increased automation of virtual infrastructures. Specifically, it aims to simplify VMware management to increase efficiency to drive lower costs.

New features and enhancements included in vFoglight 6.5:
- Event Remediation–Administrators can view alarms and launch automated resolution workflows to speed mean-time-to-resolution for problems.
- User Perspectives–This provides administrators tailored views for understanding performance monitoring, capacity planning, chargeback, and more.
- Administration–Time is saved by providing the ability to offer common VM tasks in the context of daily activities.
- Enhanced FAQts–Factual information about the dynamic infrastructure is made available and displayed more clearly for administrators and stakeholders.
This new release of vFoglight 6.5 leads a suite of virtual infrastructure monitoring solutions that include vFoglight Storage for physical storage monitoring and vFoglight QuickView, a free solution for performance VMware monitoring and management of a single vCenter server.
