TBI adds Former Regional Vice President of Telarus to its Channel Sales Team

Leading master agency expands into Virginia with the addition of a new National Channel Manager.

CHICAGO, IL – February 8, 2017 – TBI announced today that Vanessa Byrd, former Regional Vice President at Telarus, has joined the master agency as a National Channel Manager based out of Virginia. Vanessa brings to TBI over 11 years’ experience in B2B sales, five of which were spent in the IT channel.

Vanessa began her career in the IT channel at Telarus and served in various roles, including Partner Relationship Manager and, most recently, Regional Vice President for the Mid-Atlantic region. As Regional Vice President, Vanessa strategized with VARs, MSPs and traditional partners on ways to increase revenue through targeting key verticals, leveraging Telarus’ portfolio of providers. Throughout her career at Telarus, Vanessa established a track record for recruiting new partners within her eight-state region and helping them close deals. She maintained one of the highest monthly averages for recruitment and the highest company trailing.

As a National Channel Manager at TBI, Vanessa is now responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with agent partners on the East Coast. She will strategize with these partners on how to grow their revenue and serve as the primary resource for ongoing technical training and business development.

“During this age of consolidation, I’m really excited to be at TBI,” said Vanessa. “I’m proud to be part of the team and introduce partners to TBI’s ‘white glove’ service and top-notch carrier portfolio!”

Vanessa graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing and Merchandising. She is a member of Women in the Channel, a nonprofit organization supporting women in revenue-generating roles in the telecom/IT sales channel. Additionally, Vanessa is a Certified Telecom Professional (CTP) and has completed various CompTIA courses. During her free time, she spends time with her son and two daughters, and enjoys skiing, traveling and cooking.

“We are excited to welcome Vanessa Byrd to our TBI Channel Management team,” said Ryan Schenkel, Senior Director of Sales. “Vanessa is a tenured professional and brings a strong focus toward building successful partner relationships. She is positive, upbeat and polished. We look forward to her working with our partners and helping them achieve their goals.”
