Introduced at a time of increased attacks against MSPs, the new group is designed to help makers of RMM, PSA, and other systems share insights and coordinate responses.

The new functionality, quietly introduced late last month, automatically creates PSA tickets after access rights, firewall settings, and other critical settings change and then highlights what’s new directly within the relevant documentation.

Sold under the new Acronis Cyber Services brand, the three offerings are part of a larger effort by Acronis to reinvent itself as a “cyber protection” vendor offering backup and security together rather than backup alone.

The two-day event offered sessions on growing an MSP business, transitioning to managed security services, and increasing monthly recurring revenue opportunities.

Called Defender Manager, the multi-tenant system is designed to help MSPs administer Microsoft’s next generation anti-virus and advanced threat protection solution for an entire fleet of devices through a single pane of glass.

The new SDX 8110 family, which offers the increased Power over Ethernet budget such use cases require, arrives days after the introduction of ADTRAN’s Intellifi mesh Wi-Fi solution for homes and small businesses.
