Tech Data Corporation will host its spring TechSelect Partner Conference on May 14-17, 2014, at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Fla. With its theme, "Tradition Builds a Timeless Community," the event will commemorate the community's 15th anniversary. A cooperation between solution providers, vendor partners, and Tech Data, the TechSelect community offers business training and technology solutions necessary to foster membership growth and success.
"Celebrating 15 years as a community and 40 years in business, Tech Data is excited to announce the spring TechSelect Partner Conference in Orlando," says Pete Peterson, senior vice president, U.S. sales at Tech Data. "Over the last 15 years, TechSelect has grown into one of the channel's most collaborative communities, helping solution providers do more, learn more, and become more—together. Focused on innovation, enablement, education and networking, the event will feature thought leaders from around the country discussing important trends and opportunities in the marketplace. We look forward to seeing our TechSelect community members at the upcoming event."
The spring TechSelect Partner Conference will focus on new ways to enrich solution providers' businesses and skill sets. The event will include breakout sessions and business-building opportunities focused on four of TechSelect's pillars: Marketing, Services, Culture, and Leadership. Identified in conjunction with the TechSelect Advisory Council, the pillars provide guidance to members on focus areas to grow their business.
The event will feature Debbie Maier, founder of The End Result, who will conduct a training workshop focused on sales, leadership skill development and customer service excellence. Additionally, Mark Scharenbroich, founder of the Nice Bike Principle, will be featured as the keynote at the event, focused around making meaningful connections in life and in business.
Focused on philanthropy as a centerpiece to its community founding, TechSelect partners with charitable organizations in the host cities of its events. The spring TechSelect Partner Conference will raise money for Edgewood Children's Ranch—a place where boys and girls of Central Florida are given a chance to live and attend school in a safe and loving environment. Built in 1966 on 110 acres, the mission of the Ranch is to change the life of children in need and their families by helping the children get rehabilitated and back to their appropriate level of school.
