SentryOne announced the release of SentryOne Cloud Sync v18.4 (formerly SentryOne Cloud), which adds significant functionality and user experience enhancements to the company’s cloud-based monitoring solution. SentryOne Cloud Sync—available to all SentryOne customers—provides secure, easily configurable, and highly customizable access to performance data of SQL Server instances running in cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

The compliance system lets MSPs assess, monitor, and produce reports for customers bound by the federal government’s HIPAA regulation. The Office 365 security capabilities extend protection previously available only for on-premises applications into the cloud.

Enhancements to the company’s RMM and BDR solutions set for release later this year will help MSPs administer Microsoft Azure environments and backup Azure data. Integration with IT Glue’s documentation solution arrives next month.

By reducing infrastructure hosting costs, the new deployment option makes running cloud workspaces in single-tenant configurations a cost-effective option for companies with as few as 20 employees, opening up a vast new market for MSPs.

Two of many products announced at the vendor’s annual conference for IT pros, including several for IoT developers, the new virtual desktop and threat protection offerings are designed for use with the Microsoft 365 productivity and security bundle.

The vendor also plans to leverage its parent company’s expansive portfolio of network management systems to help MSPs enjoy single-pane-of-glass control over the ever-widening array of onsite and offsite solutions sharing SMB infrastructures today.

Intended for use with the vendor’s commercial access points, the new system is designed to make Linksys a business networking leader in the SMB channel by providing a simple, affordable foundation for Wi-Fi-as-a-service offerings.
