SaaSMAX Adds 5 Solutions to its Cloud Marketplace

The new systems, which cover a range of needs and use cases, join several hundred already available to SaaSMAX partners.

SaaSMAX Corp. has added five solutions to its software-as-a-service marketplace.

The new offerings, which cover a range of needs and use cases, join several hundred others that San Diego-based SaaSMAX already makes available to SMB channel partners.

The first of the new systems is an analytics application from ClicData LLC, of Scottsdale, Ariz., that consolidates information from multiple applications in a single, graphical console.

“Instead of having to log into 6 or 7 different applications all the time, it’ll pull the analytics from all those and put them into a customizable dashboard,” says Clint Gatewood, vice president of reseller partner development at SaaSMAX.

The system can import data from hundreds of sources, including file repositories like Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive, business applications like Salesforce and QuickBooks, and social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, as well as leading relational database platforms.

ClicData will pay SaaSMAX resellers double commissions on sales of its software through June.

Another new addition to the SaaSMAX portfolio, Shopper Analytics, from Wilmington, Del.-based FastSensor, is a real-time experience tracking system that collects anonymous movement and location data from smartphones via onsite sensors and feeds it to a cloud-based reporting interface. Targeted primarily at retailers, the solution offers users a simple way to measure how many people walk past their store, how many walk in, and where they spend their time once they’re inside.

According to Gatewood, partners can make money from Shopper Analytics both through subscription fees and by designing, deploying, and maintaining customer-specific implementations.

“There’s different services you could definitely build around that,” he says.

FastSensor is currently paying sales incentives of up to 40 percent on all commissions.

Two further applications now available to SaaSMAX partners, SecureDocs and ContractWorks, are both made by SecureDocs Inc., of Goleta, Calif. The former system furnishes “virtual data rooms” in which companies can securely store and share intellectual property and other sensitive information with business or trading partners. The latter solution, which is based on SecureDocs, adds contract management and electronic signature functionality.

SaaSMAX partners can resell either solution themselves or receive a one-time fee worth 20 percent of the initial contract value for directing referral customers to SecureDocs.

The last of the new offerings joining SaaSMAX’s catalog is a hosted real-time communications (WebRTC) solution from Telestax, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company responsible for the open source Restcomm RTC platform. Building on Restcomm, the Telestax solution lets companies equip legacy software with voice, video, and messaging capabilities typically found only in newer, born-in-the-cloud applications.

“Without having to go and buy an entirely new installation of everything or developing something new, you can basically bring your communications to a more current level,” says SaaSMAX CEO Dina Moskowitz.

SaaSMAX introduced a sub-marketplace specifically devoted to security solutions last August.
