Called XGen endpoint security, the new offering layers traditional and advanced technologies, including machine learning, to provide defense in depth against known and zero day exploits.

WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud connects and protects SMBs with fully automated wireless threat prevention as well as interactive engagement and analytics features.

The announcement comes as the managed services software vendor officially retires its N-able and LOGICnow brands.

New enhancements include integration of Sky ATP Malware Detection and advanced enforcement across switches and firewalls to provide unified and intelligent protection.

Through the Armor Global Partner Program, the companies will work together to provide organizations with flexible, military-grade security and compliance solutions to meet their unique business needs.

Avast executive Glenn Taylor (pictured) will replace Fred Gerritse, but mostly leave the latter’s turnaround plan intact. Consolidating the newly unified company’s overlapping security portfolios integrating its security and RMM products will be top early priorities.
