Shame on us. Since we began handing out cloud storage prizes in 2013, we’ve been lumping infrastructure-as-a-service providers like Amazon together with file share and sync vendors like Dropbox Inc. This year, we’ve belatedly created two separate awards for two very different solution types, with Google edging out Microsoft in one category and Dropbox cruising to an easy win over Microsoft and eFolder Inc. in the other.
Google Inc. is a provider of search, mobile, geo, social, and office productivity technology and solutions.
Microsoft Corp. is a provider of software, services, and solutions that enable SMBs to grow by leveraging powerful, affordable technologies such as cloud computing.
