The IT industry still lags woefully behind in recruiting, hiring, and advancing women—even though research shows that gender diversity boosts both innovation and financial performance. Understanding some of the obstacles women face getting into the IT workforce can help businesses formulate more inclusive cultures as well as develop recruitment and mentoring strategies that will allow them to tap into a larger pool of talent.
