Wandera integrates with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security to deliver robust security for the mobile-enabled workforce

Wandera, the leader in mobile security, has announced integrations within Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility + Security suite to provide advanced mobile threat defense to security-conscious enterprises.

Wandera, the leader in mobile security, has announced integrations within Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility + Security suite to provide advanced mobile threat defense to security-conscious enterprises.

The solution enables Microsoft customers to benefit from Wandera’s multi-level protection for users, endpoints and corporate applications. Wandera’s twin capabilities of highly effective endpoint security coupled with real-time prevention of network attacks are built using privacy first principles enabling mobile workforces to adopt security with confidence, and without privacy concerns.

Wandera works in tandem with†Microsoft Intune, integrating mobile threat defense with a sophisticated array of management tools to provide flexibility in reporting, enforcement and granular control. With the combined power of both technologies, insights on the security status of every device can be easily surfaced and actioned.††The integration also provides enterprise customers with device risk-based conditional access, powered by Azure Active Directory. Administrators can set policies that ensure only compliant devices are allowed access to Microsoft Office 365 services – for example, access could be blocked if a device was deemed to be ‘high risk’ due to the presence of malware.

The integration delivers key features including:

  • Seamless deployment and integration
  • Microsoft conditional access
  • Privacy protection for users
  • Advanced mobile threat defense against malware, phishing and network attacks

“We have been at the forefront of innovation in the industry delivering mobile security and privacy to mobile workforces worldwide, and have witnessed first hand the rapid growth of Intune in the enterprise.† We are very pleased to build on our growing security partnership with Microsoft, expand our UEM mobility ecosystem and deliver this seamlessly integrated offering to our customers,” said Eldar Tuvey, CEO and Founder of Wandera.

“Customers are increasingly seeking mobile threat defense capabilities and security insights to improve their security posture while safeguarding users’ privacy. The integration with Wandera allows Microsoft to provide customers with more choice in enhancing their protection,” said Ryan McGee, Director, Microsoft Security Marketing at Microsoft Corp.

The integration with Intune is the latest initiative from Wandera to offer enhanced security to Microsoft customers:

In September 2018, Wandera was announced as a member of the†Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, which helps organizations understand and defend against increasingly sophisticated threats. Wandera’s mobile intelligence is now shared with Microsoft to increase customer protection.

At the same time, Wandera launched†Exten, the world’s first mobile data policy for Windows 10 laptops and tablets. Exten enables enterprises to manage usage-based risks, enforcing acceptable usage, eliminating shadow IT and preventing excessive data usage, with full control and insight for administrators over metered networks, such as MiFi devices and/or embedded SIM cards.†

Wandera’s integration with Intune is available to all Microsoft customers and is compatible with all iOS and Android devices. Please note, any necessary licenses for Wandera products must be purchased separately from Microsoft EMS/ Intune licenses.
