Employees used to consider slick collaboration capabilities a nice little extra reason to choose one job offer over another. These days, 1 in 4 knowledge workers will simply refuse a position that doesn’t include access to state-of-the-art communications tools, according to recent research from unified communications-as-a-service and cloud email provider Intermedia.
“Organizations that have deployed the right communication tools—like video and chat—will have the advantage of attracting (or retaining) the best talent no matter where they are located,” observes Costin Tuculescu, vice president of collaboration Intermedia in emailed comments. By extension, MSPs that provide those tools will have a competitive edge as well.
