Will they or won’t they?
It’s the question many have been asking since August, when SolarWinds told investors that it’s considering a spin-off of its SolarWinds MSP unit as a separate, publicly traded business. The answer won’t be coming this year, according to John Pagliuca, SolarWinds MSP’s president.
“It will not be 2020,” he said today in a conversation with ChannelPro, one day after a virtual conference for partners in the Americas.
So if a final decision isn’t coming this year, when is it coming? Pagliuca declined to say. “We have a target, but a lot of these things are out of our control,” he noted, pointing in particular to continued macro-economic turbulence and the uncertainty of what lies ahead for the coronavirus pandemic.
Pagliuca and speakers at yesterday’s online conference shared plenty of specifics on SolarWinds MSP’s future and the future of its products, however. Here are a few of the highlights.
