Tech Data’s pending $2.6 billion acquisition of Phoenix-based distributor Avnet Inc.’s technology solutions group has Avnet partners wondering what the future holds in store for them. According to Marty Bauerlein, Tech Data’s senior vice president of U.S. sales, they have nothing to worry about.
“When the transaction takes place, it’s business as usual,” he says. “What you had with Avnet you’re going to have with us.”
