What’s the single most impactful way channel partners can invest in next-gen technologies and grow their business? Focus on IoT and analytics. And the best way to be successful with that? Invest in a single use case to start. So says Andrea Miner (pictured), director of consulting services for analytics and IoT at Tech Data.
She acknowledges that can seem daunting to channel pros. “When we talk to them about IoT and analytics it feels like a heavy lift for them because then they have to create yet another new practice.”
To help partners, Tech Data rolled out its IoT Solution Factory in May that offers prebuilt solutions. “If they’re used to talking healthcare and we bring in an asset management solution for IoT, that’s not going to be a big stretch for them to start having those types of conversations,” says Miner. “Then that starts to feel very doable.” Partners can leverage Tech Data’s practice builder methodology, which guides channel pros through the process of launching a full-blown IoT practice, as well.
