OpenText Calls Cyber Resilience the Answer to Dangerous Times for IT

“2020 has been an absolutely crazy year,” says Craig Stilwell, executive vice president and general manager of the SMB and consumer group at OpenText.

Stilwell spoke yesterday at OpenText’s 2020 OpenText World conference, which concludes tomorrow, in a presentation on “cyber resilience.” That’s the tightly integrated combination of cybersecurity and backup that OpenText has been promoting since it acquired data protection vendor Carbonite—and by extension security vendor Webroot as well—a year ago. 

At this week’s event, in recently published research, and during a recent conversation with ChannelPro, Stilwell and others from OpenText shared details on how the coronavirus pandemic and the rush to work-from-home computing it set off have dramatically altered the threat landscape, and why those changes make cyber resilience more critical than ever.
