HP’s big news for commercial PC resellers at Reinvent was the introduction of three new devices for the SMB market designed to bring premium PC features within reach of everyday buyers. “We’re moving premium to the mainstream,” said Kobi Elbaz, vice president and general manager for HP personal systems in the Americas, in an interview with ChannelPro.
The laptop pictured at left is the 15.6-inch HP ProBook 455R G6. Next to it is its 14-inch sibling, the HP ProBook 445R G6. Both units come with 2nd Generation AMD Ryzen processors, AMD Radeon Vega graphics, ample hard disk or solid-state storage, and 180-degree, lay-flat hinges.
To the right is the new HP ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini. HP isn’t kidding about the “mini” part either. The 6.96” x 6.88” x 1.33” is small enough to be mounted on the back of a display stand.
