Acer Swift Edge 16
Companies like Intel and AMD are building dedicated silicon into some of their newest SoCs to enable mobile devices to stay apace with the demands of next-generation AI features while keeping power consumption in check. Acer’s newly refreshed Swift Edge 16 just so happens to be one of the latest ultrathin, lightweight notebooks running AMD’s Ryzen 7040 Series processors with AMD Ryzen AI (on select models), plus a wealth of premium features at a not-so-premium price point.
Aside from its AI chops, Acer’s Swift Edge 16 has just about everything going for it. Front and center are an impressive 16-inch 3.2K (3200x2000) OLED display running at 120Hz, support for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 0.2 ms response rate, and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, which resides in a stylish black magnesium alloy frame weighing in at 2.71 pounds. And that’s just the beginning. It’s configurable for up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory, 2TB of Gen 4 PCIe SSD storage, and 5.8 Gbps wireless networking with Wi-Fi 7. Tack on a full-size keyboard, numerous connectivity ports, 1440p QHD webcam (with support for Windows Studio Effects with the right configurations), and numerous software enhancements to support the latest collaboration features, and you end up with a svelte notebook for an incredible value.
