You have to give credit where credit is due: Microsoft and others may have pioneered the tablet, but Apple is the one that made one good enough to push the concept into the mainstream. Since then, though, Apple has ignored the fact that its users were spending hundreds of dollars on keyboard cases and other accessories (essentially turning iPads into laptops), and has pushed endless variants of the original design while Windows and Android OEMS embraced the idea of hybrid devices.
Frankly speaking, when you’re slapping a keyboard and a trackpad on a tablet, you’ve turned it into a laptop, though not generally with the same performance. These designs are intended to be tablet first and laptop second.
