Leading names in IT just can’t get enough of subscription-priced purchasing programs. Last week, for example, HP Inc. announced a new security-as-a-service addition to the device-as-a-service (DaaS) offering it first introduced some three years ago. Top distributors like D&H, Ingram Micro, and Tech Data all have DaaS programs of their own.
So too does SYNNEX, and according to Larocque, it’s starting to take off. “We’ve been talking about device as a service for three years and this is the year,” he says. “I’ve seen more pipeline. I’ve seen more activity, specifically with our midrange partners.”
As with Internet of Things solutions, Larocque continues, offering DaaS drives stable, enduring customer relationships.
“It really helps you become very sticky with your customer,” he says.
