The power quality division of Eaton Corp. had plenty to discuss with attendees of its 2018 Partner Summit last week about the past, including the recent changes to its sales organization and the recent progress it’s made toward becoming a software and services company as well as UPS and PDU hardware maker. The Raleigh, N.C.-based vendor had much to say about what the future holds in store too, though. Here’s a look at some new products and programs slated to arrive soon and some longer-term market trends Eaton sees approaching down the road.
Tentatively named PowerAdvantage for MSPs and still very much a work in progress, the new offering will likely come with authorized and certified levels, a financing program of some kind, and access to free trial editions of VPM, among other benefits. At least one MSP attendee at last week’s summit is curious to take a look at the finished product.
“It’s interesting,” says Pat Turney, director of partner relations at JMARK Business Solutions Inc., of Springfield, Mo. “If there’s a way in which we can deliver more value to our clients and also increase our recurring revenue, that’s great.”
