Geoffrey Willison, ConnectWise’s COO since last December, isn’t directly responsible for any of the vendor’s products, but pretty much everything that happens after someone buys one falls under his command. That includes onboarding, education, support, and the partner success and care organizations, as well as the SOC, NOC, and help desk ConnectWise picked up when it bought fellow managed services software and services provider Continuum last October.
“A little over half of the company, from a colleague perspective, reports into me,” says Willison, referring to ConnectWise’s employees. Turning ConnectWise and Continuum from separate one-time rivals into a single integrated organization has taken up a lot of his time in the last year
“We want to make sure that ultimately we get to one experience for our partners, whether that’s from a unified product perspective, or that’s from a service perspective, or that’s from a support perspective,” he says.
Willison discussed that giant undertaking, the future of ConnectWise’s dual RMM systems, the increasingly upbeat mood among the company’s MSP users, the recent IPO news from leading competitors, and more with ChannelPro earlier today. Here are some highlights from that conversation.
