Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win
Jocko Wilnick and Leif Babin (St. Martin's Press; 1st ed., 2017)
Former U.S. Navy SEALs Jocko Willink and Leif Babin detail how both CEOs and employees can apply the leadership principles forged in the battlefield in their own businesses. The book explains how to develop high-performance teams that take ownership of their responsibilities. Adam Spencer, CEO of 911 IT, an MSP in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area, has all his employees read the book. “We take that extreme ownership all the way down to even the lowest level technician,” he says. “So, as they get assigned to a ticket, they're in charge of that entire ownership of that ticket and that customer’s experience with us all the way through, making sure that it's completed and if there's anything else that we can do to make that customer’s day better and experience with us better.”
