By Darren Hardy (Vanguard Press, 2012)
Author Darren Hardy, former publisher of SUCCESS magazine, details how small decisions can compound like interest to achieve your goals. “The whole premise is that it’s not about the big, grand idea or the one-time thing or the silver bullet,” says Joanna Sobran, founder and CEO of MXOtech, an IT services company in Chicago. “It’s about being consistent and taking small measures. Slow and steady wins the race.” Sobran says analogies in the book help bring the point home, such as an individual trying to lose weight. “She couldn’t start running right away, so she had to walk two blocks and then three blocks and then 10 blocks, and eventually she got to where she needed to be.”
