According to Ingram, there are roughly 1,300 security vendors on the market today in a bewildering variety of categories. That makes figuring out which categories matter, and which products are tops in each category, difficult for channel pros without a cybersecurity blackbelt.
To simplify the process some, Ingram has rolled out a sort of security solution finder called the Security Line Card. “It’s an interactive resource that resellers can use to identify the solutions they want to look into from a security standpoint, along with the vendors,” says Randy Irvine, director of sales and market development in Ingram’s advanced solutions security business unit.
The tool organizes solutions—and services—around the federal government’s NIST Cybersecurity Framework, too, so partners can ensure they’ve got all five functions of a complete security strategy (identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover) covered.
