Don’t have the time or expertise to do a thorough analysis of a customer’s environment? Let Ingram Micro do it for you. On a white label basis, the company can go onsite with a client to assess what they have and what they need in a range of infrastructure categories.
At present, the two most popular assessments cover penetration testing and wireless networking. Ingram can do the former one on a recurring basis, to ensure that customers who are secure today stay that way.
“You do one, then every month or every quarter we’re going back and doing it again,” says Greg Richey, director of digital transformation solutions at Ingram.
That’s a new title for Richey, by the way. Until recently he was director of training and professional services, but these days businesses looking to capitalize on the full potential of the latest technologies need a broader range of assistance with the infrastructure they buy.
“We still need to install it, we still need to train people on it and provide maintenance and all that, but you also need to create apps and you need to create gateways through APIs,” Richey notes. “It’s such a different world. In a year and a half, it’s crazy how radically it’s changed.”
