Wait…laser printers? In this age of digital everything, D&H recorded a 39 percent sales increase in laser printers this year?
Yup, though less because SMBs are suddenly falling in love with ink on paper than because D&H has been actively encouraging channel pros who have long walked right past a customer’s printers to give those devices a second look.
“[We] say ‘hey, don’t walk past the printer. Go refresh it,” DiMarco explains. “It’s now an endpoint on the network. It should be within the sphere that you’re influencing for that end user.”
Together with increased demand generation marketing and new discount programs, evangelism like that has inspired resellers who never touched printers before to start selling them now. “It’s worked for us this year,” DiMarco says of those efforts.
